My Affair With Books
My affair with books didn't come around until I was 18 and we ended up being homeless for 6 months. With no TV and worrying more about where we were going to sleep that night. I ended up picking up a book from the library’s store. I paid .25 cents for it and I have loved it ever since. It was the first time I had ever really read a book cover to cover. The book was called Mistress of the Eagles and I have multi copies of it to this day. After that I kinda put books on the back burner. We found a house and I decided to go back to school at 19 to finish out. So reading took on a new meaning of reading whatever you are given. At that time I was just trying to get finished which didn't work out. My second year in I got tired of all the crap and dropped out again. I then got married and pregnant (maybe not in that order) had a little baby girl. Got divorced, got a GED, and well moved to FL. Which is where I am now. Well after that 3 years went by which in it I worked, tried to commit suicide (it was a very dark time)~got help by a lady sharing my room (she was in for surgery). I then got my crap together and well ended up meeting my current husband (married for almost 5 years) and I found my love of books again. Now our bedroom is overflowing with them. I started blogging in 2009 and love reading everything. Nowadays if you don't see me with some kind of book. Then I'm either sick or a pod person. I read around 30 some odd books a month and well if you want my two sense on one. Ask me right when I'm done or I wont remember. and yes I sniff books. And just in case you are wondering. I have 2 girls I'm still married.
