Review: Ever the Hunted

My Review: This is the second time I have read this title and I have to tell you that the only thing I remembered about it was Enat that was it. I didn't remember anything or anyone else at all. I really really wished what happened to her hadn't and I would love a prequel story about her. I am just saying that she is totally awesome and I love her!

So this one I thought it felt a lot lighter this time around than what I remember from the first time that I read it. It didn't feel so thick or heavy at all. Although death was around the corner for the main characters I really felt like it just didn't seem as bad as it could have been. I don't know it felt like killing light I guess you could say or peril light. I don't know.

I did like how the story unfolded it was very quick. I read this one at 74.6 pages an hour and got it done in just over 5 hours. So I would say that was pretty fast. It never stagnated and I liked that the two characters already had a relationship so you didn't have to worry about that insta love that this one would have had to have if they didn't already know each other. So I think that the author dodged a giant bullet with that one.

The ending was also very nice that although there was one thing left undone even if this book wouldn't have had a sequel it wouldn't have really needed it and it stands alone on its own. Although I think if that would have been the case a good epilogue would have been needed to round out the one thing that wasn't finished.

All in all, I think this would be a great title for someone who is just getting started with fantasy books and young adult. Because its light, quick, and really gives you a very simple world view for the world building as well as the magic that they use.

Note: SO after reading this one I was talking to a friend that had already read book two. And I am like ok so I think this, this, and this happens and she was like YES YES that is EXACTLY what happens. So now I am reading this second book with already knowing what happens because I guessed it and now I am all. Crying up I am so sad right now.

Review: Kingdom of Ash

My Review: 4,200 pages is how long this series is that I have just finished. And no words could ever tell you how much this series has ripped out my heart only to put it back together. This has been one of the most amazing journeys that I have ever taken in a series and it is not one that I will soon forget.

One thing that I didn't like is that although we do get an epilogue set a few months past the last chapter I would have liked to have something that was years in the future. So much of this story was left open so I really hope that when the paperback comes out that we get another story set in this world as I would like to know what everyone is up to by that time.

This last book in this amazing series is one to bring you a lot of heartbreak. I know that through most of it I was either shouting out with YES or crying my eyes out both happy and sad tears. I will say to make sure to have tissues on hand and a lot of water. Even after finishing this story I couldn't pick a fav. character or couple as they have all found a special place in my heart. And I will think of them from time to time. I would love to revisit this series a few years from now when their story starts to grow faint in my mind. So I can once again fall in love with each of them.

I really don't know what else to say about this story other than it wowed me and I kind of wished that I could have been there to help each and everyone one of those characters. As a spirit on the wind leading them in their fight. I will leave you with this though as my final thoughts on this story.

Although Aelin might be a fictional character as far as we know. She is one that showed us to never give up. To NEVER YIELD and to Fight for a better world. So Aelin I am here with you and lets hope for a better tomorrow.

Review: Tower of Dawn

My Review: I really thought this was going to be the first book in this series that was not going to get five starts. This one started out a lot slower than I would have liked. It was very wordy and had a lot of descriptions that I thought just weren't needed. But by the end chapters, I was dying. I could not put it down and I was very sad that it was over. So much stuff happens in this title that you really do have to read it and it is not a novella like a lot of people say. It is integral to the story at large and is not a title you can skip or you will miss out on a lot of what happens. This one is full of twists and turns and is really an edge of your seat thriller at least once you get past those few starter chapters.

Love, Life, and Death all rage in this heart-pounding story with one of the most beloved side characters that I could just not put down!

My Review: I really wonder if any of these titles won't make me cry. This book shocked and delighted me to no end. There were a lot of times where I would scream out either to say NO or YES!! Where the last book left me with a feeling of so much hope. This one left me feeling very scared of how it was all going to end. We get revolations on what has to happend for these people to save the world and its so much worse than I could ever have imagined.

Review: Queen of Shadows

My Review: I have no idea how I am going to review this title. This was beyond amazing and I could not put it down. To start I was thinking that this was going to be the first book in this series to only be 3 or 4 stars but that all turned around once the story got going. In this, we find old friends, new enemies, and so so much hope! Which is what I really have to say that this book has ended with. It has filled me with the message that no matter how bad things get or how dark our situation gets you should always have hope. Let it be your guiding light in the darkness.

The world that has been fully formed before this book even started and the story is in full swing. We do have some very slow parts in the start of this one which personally I think could have been cut down. As although it does get the story going it isn't all that meaningful to the story at large.

The other thing I want to say about this one is the sexual tension that it has. I mean I still can not believe that this is a young adult novel when those bits are going on. I understand that this is a high young adult but still. But I love the writing and the way the author dealt with it.

I really do not know what else to say for this one other than I know there are three books left but I am just not ready for it to be all over. I haven't finished a series since the House of Night one that I did about a year ago and even that one has a new spin-off series. So I wasn't really saying goodbye. I finished this one with tears in my eyes and laughter in my heart.

Review: Heir of Fire

My Review: This book took me a little longer to finish but I finally did it and it was totally worth the journey it took to get to the end. I could not put this one down and every chance I could get I picked it back up to read a little more. This story is so much more than just a story. Its where the tide turns for all of the characters and you read this one at the edge of your seat. It is full of twists, some gore, and depth and as I reached the end was why this is an epic fantasy!! I really loved how we got more than one story in this title. The introduction of Manon Blackbeak was brilliant and exciting and gave this book the edge to make it amazing.

Review: Before I Let Go

My Review: This is another one from my TBR Giveaway pile and well this one is another one that just did not work out at all. The back and forth in time felt out of place for this one. It is one thing that sometimes works for a story and well sometimes it doesnt. And for me it just didn't. I did like how the story opened though.
